On July 27, 2019, Greenpoint Metals and Ohio Slitting & Storage gathered for the Annual company picnic at Warren County’s Armco Park in Lebanon, Ohio. It was a beautiful day to leave the workplace behind for some fun outside, while enjoying time with family and co-workers. The picnic is always a favorite among children and adults, as there is much to do for all involved!
This year’s event includes a train ride, bounce houses, an inflatable race, a rock climbing wall, face painting, volleyball, fishing, canoeing, and of course the intense competition games of corn hole, wiffle ball, and tug-of-war.
This year’s corn hole championship title was taken home by Jim Chambers and Jeff Morris. Congratulations, gentlemen!
The excitement continued as we had our 2nd annual “Office vs. Plant” wiffle ball game. “Unofficially” the office continues as the reigning champs.
New this year, we added a game of tug-of-war with the plant team taking victory over the office!
The kids enjoyed a WET game of water balloon toss!
We had food trucks galore! We’d like to extend a special thank you to the vendors that provided excellent service and kept everyone’s bellies full. We enjoyed Rudy’s Smokehouse, U Lucky Dawg, BG’s Grill, El Buen Taco, The Cheesecakery, and The Cone.
At the beginning of the picnic, each employee received a personalized Greenpoint Metals hat and gift card. To top off the day, everyone gathered again to see who would win the door prizes. Raffle prizes included two kayaks, Apple watches, Bengal’s tickets, JBL portable Bluetooth speakers, Omaha Steak packages, Chromebooks, and various gift cards! The winners of this year’s grand prizes included: Jordan Brown and Ryan Newton – taking home the 65″ 4K TV’s, and Chris Singer – receiving the Surface Pro.
